 Diglyceride (DAG) is a structural lipid on Triglyceride (TG) where one fatty acid is replaced by a hydroxyl group. DAG is a trace component of natural vegetable oil and an endogenous intermediate product of fat metabolism in the body, and it is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) food ingredient. In recent years, it has been found that dietary DAG has the effect of reducing visceral fat, inhibiting weight gain and lowering blood lipid, so it has been widely concerned.
